Like the previous films, Toy Story 3 was widely acclaimed and a massive box office success, grossing $1.066 billion worldwide against a $200 million budget. Lee Unkrich, who edited the previous films and co-directed the second film, took over as director. As the third film in the Toy Story franchise, the sequel to Toy Story 2, and the 11th movie made by Pixar, the film was released in theaters on June 18, 2010.
